Wheel Ads — Part One

img902

I have so much of this shit saved I knew I’d have to post it up at some point,

I’ll start with these magazine scans from the ’80s, can’t remember where I saved the from but it was 2 or so years ago, the watermark across each of them could be translated and searched if you’re that keen though!

First is the Takechi Project Racing HART, made by Hayashi Racing. If only they would do a reproduction run of these like they did Sakuras and single piece Techno TRVs recently! These wheels 8J+ go for crazy money second hand.

img906

And now in FF offset (still cool!) and 5 stud. Need some for the C.

img916

Devil Japan Shadow Spokes, these also sell for heaps, single piece and they came very wide as you can see. Also 5 hole and FF fitments, too cool.

Need to get Rob into that flare kit for his Z, so much more epic than standard Z-G items.

img918

The mesh is cool but, still mesh, or MEHsh if you will.

img926

Everyone loves Sakuras. C130 is almost bogan… lol.

img920

Another black Nissan coupe modeling wide Blossoms

img922

Team Yayoi apparel!! I would rock that sweater like nothing else before, or the patches, keyrings, of course the stickers.

img924

Not to mention the Hiro stickers, dude.

img910

Pasco Bilbos, a nice wheel

img914

Seriously the best way to get wide Japanese alloys in NZ anyway is to find a 280ZX rusting away somewhere. So many of them came in with cool wheels. A friend of mine is currently convincing an old dude his rusted S130 does not need those wide MKIIIs! I’ll do a post on this car later, so much rust.

img908

430 Gloria with John Player paint scheme, ughh…. Awesome.

img912

Simple Spoke. They musn’t be familiar with the Work Equip!

img660

August Feroce, on a Pontiac Trans Am, this is gold.

My friend Daisuke has these on his 430 Cedric, and he has tracked some donw in 8J now too!

img819

Weds Racing Forg, I really rate these.

img897

Wide Carols on a 2+2 S30Z, cone dish go!

img857

And finally this SA22C RX7 With Hiro Motor body parts on 8.5&10″ one piece Techno Phantoms!

Shit Phantoms are cool, heaps > Star Sharks

    Argh! Too much! :D
I wanted to post a few of those advertisements as well on Bosozoku style blog but I certainly never had as many as you found! Great find! :)

All I managed to post was that Racing HART advertisement:
