Home Town R31

Me and a good mate were trawling through trademe trying to find him a new car when we happened across this
lowgazm068

A mint, low km 1987 Skyline Silhouette (factory LSD, wind up windows, trip computer, etc). After a ~10hr mission in a very, very low GX71 over some very, very bad roads, the R31 was sitting in his driveway.

After a bit of research and a few burnouts it was decided upon to do an S13 strut swap, during this process a set of S13 BC coilovers were fitted to bring her virgin chassis rails a bit closer to mother earth.

mmmm bc's

Insert some 15×8″ 0 off fake fins, some 14×7″ -10 off Enkei mesh, a few sets of tyres and about a year and the whole lot got a bit boring.

At this point an RB25DET just happened to be walking past and was quickly enticed into the engine bay. Props have to go to Logan here for doing 99% of the work himself.

Blue was the only colour silicone they had :/
wound down
Suspension was wound down, camber maxxed out and Mr cert man gave it the thumbs up. Time to take this shit to the track.

Yes the line is completely wrong, yes he nearly hit the wall after this shot, but fuck it looks good sliding. A bit more seat time and a proper 2 way LSD (read: locker for now) and this shit will be sitting on the limiter at full lock permanently.

I just love the fact that he has no other car thats drivable, this gets driven nearly everyday and it gets driven hard, like projects should.

Logan’s a mad motherfucker, and with a bigger turbo and a Link computer in the pipeline I can only see his shit getting even crazier. Here’s hoping his next project is built with the same mindset.

910 ht
I just ask you to imagine seeing an R31 and 910 hardtop door handle to door handle around taupo.

Please do Logan

Cheers to 86 Fighters and JC Photography for pics.

Engine was pulled but logan was robbed recently and lost a bunch of wheels and engine parts destined for this and the 31. It will see the track, just not for a while yet.
